HAHOE MASK MUSEUM |
| The World Mask Gallery is located in the Important Folklore Material No. 122, Hahoe Maeul in Andong, Korea. Hahoe Maeul is not only one of the traditional village of Korea where the public morals of Korea is kept but also the birthplace of Sir 'Seoae' Ryu, Seong-ryong, the author of War Memoirs, the National Treasure No. 132. The place is also the home of the world's famous mask art, the National Treasures 121, Hahoetal and Byeongsantal masks and the Intangible Cultural Assets No. 69, Byeolsin mask dance drama of Hahoe. The World Mask Gallery was established to preserve and give life to the tradition and the art. |
